A series of portraits of famous musicians created during the coronavirus lockdown with the intention to provide an escapism for both the viewers of my art and myself, if only for a moment, from the pandemic. Musicians that mean something to most of us, happy and sad memories and stories galore based around the music that they created. 36 portraits in total, one everyday for 36 days plus a total of 16 portraits in the same style of musicians of supporters of my art to say thank you for the support, much appreciated.

The Concept has been;

LONG NECKS: to raise the unmistakable facial recognition of the subject.

LARGE EYES: the windows of the soul that can reflect personality.

GREY BACKGROUNDS: grey is a cool, neutral and balanced colour. Light greys are feminine in nature, dark greys are masculine. All paintings contain both grey colours.
